Tom Shen is President and CEO of Shen Milsom & Wilke (SM&W), a global consulting firm specializing in audiovisual systems, information technology, acoustics, security, and medical equipment planning.

Over his 30-year career, Tom has worked closely with clients and project teams to plan and deliver technology environments across corporate, healthcare, higher education, transportation, hospitality, and other complex building types. With a background in technology systems and infrastructure planning, he brings a practical understanding of how audiovisual and IT solutions can support communication, collaboration, and the broader user experience.

As President and CEO, Tom helps guide the firm’s strategic direction and continued development, with a particular focus on adapting SM&W’s services to evolving client needs and emerging technologies. He remains actively engaged with the audiovisual industry and currently serves on the AVIXA Board of Directors as a Director-at-Large.

Tom is committed to advancing the role of independent consulting within the AV and technology industries and to encouraging greater collaboration among consultants, integrators, manufacturers, architects, and end users.
